new kittens5 Jan '07 6:50 am
This time last year we got our two lovely new kittens, the gardening boys Fluff-Fluff and B-Puss. This year - no room for any more! But my friend has two brother kittens, and she took ths unposed picture of them sittng in her slippers.
She's named them Tommie and Tippie - see! Other people give their kittens silly names, it's not just meeeeee!
These two were rescued by our mutual friend Judith who feeds the stray cats and takes in abandoned kittens. Thanks, Judith - you deserve an award!

Slippers6 Jan '07 7:01 am
O Deary Me !
Does your special lady friend realise that ,thanks to modern technology, her comfy slippers are being beamed around the world ?
I would absolutely be mortified if my slippers were to be seen in public ! My family always hint that I should get new ones.

warm slippers in summer?6 Jan '07 8:09 am
And why are her warm slippers out, in the middle of summer? Who needs warm slippers in summer? We do! It's because we've all been shivering with winter woollies on!
Yes, I've warned my slipper friend! And I'd love to do an article on Judith, the cat and kitten rescuer - she is such an amazing lady. I wonder if she'd be too shy?

I am so glad you can't see what's on my feet as I type
When I got these slippers (Marks and Spencer blue sheepskin mules, to you northern-hemispherers)I soon realised they were the favourite slippers of my life, so I went straight back and bought a second identical pair for "later". Forward planning, see? After about 4 years the first pair were looking sad and not very well so I retired them to the back of the wardrobe and brought out my identical new pair, feeling very smug. Well, it's about six years later; the retirees have been brought out of the wardrobe to give moral support to the second pair of pensioner slippers and all four are in a ghastly state (but still blissfully comfy). Can you believe; M and S have stopped selling this model! the best slippers the world has ever known!

Unite!7 Jan '07 7:12 am
Fings don't stay the same alas ,even M&S ....I always wear white socks with my slippers ,which adds to my family's horror ,as NO ONE wears ankle socks now ! Mooseys people are indeed united in many ways .
Dixie.
