Pruning...question.3 Mar '07 9:56 am
I have a rose that is a one or two cane wonder..it makes absolutely lovely roses on the canes that it has but Ive been pruning it back to get it to bush. Is there anyething else I can do to get more basal breaks?? |

Angela, I am not sure, if it is right to cut back your plant now...Because, yes, it will be bushier, but not ...bloomier. Because in the past, I had made the same mistake... But what your plant really needs now, is good , special compost mixture, and ....good Rose food! |

I gave it some cotton seed and some fish guts....lol lets see what she thinks of that.
We are starting to stay warm now, with a few days in the 50 degree range to mix it up. Im hoping that the warm weather comes in and STAYS...Ive got buds everywhere and my Hot Coacoa has already gifted me with 4 beautiful buds and flowers! I wish my camera worked for you to see whats on my computer desk in a vase! |
