Thank you All!31 Jan '08 11:00 pm
... But, you know, do not imagine anything SO special, YET, with my young Hamamelis lovely ladies! They are only lovely short plants, for the moment, with awkward growing blooming stems, around 70cm of height... And they grow so slowly.... When they have their final height of 3m, maybe,.... I will be ready to move to the other level of Existence...
And here are some more Hamamelis photos, taken on a sunny day!

Then I won't wish for them to get so tall too quickly!4 Feb '08 10:43 am
They sure are easy to look at and all the more special for blooming when nothing much else will. Are they as fragrant as I've heard?

Hello Liza13 Feb '08 1:37 am
Has spring finally sprung full force for you? I imagine you working feverishly in your gardens keeping up with the onrush and preparing for summer. Or perhaps you are just taking a last few days of rest and relaxation before the onslaught. We are missing your cheery voice.

The First Spring Heralds!!!13 Feb '08 2:47 am
Hello sweet Faith and my gentle Mark!!!
Well, I have not found yet my usual ...Springing energy....Although Spring has already touched our garden , even with some morning frosts...These last days we have some brilliant sunny days here, and it does smell of Spring!! But , the more the sky is cloudless here in Belgium, the more frosty early mornings we have!!!One of my tiny blue Anemonas Blanda has bloomed! But her only blue bloom, has the petals downwards in early morning...The more the sunrays caress her, the more her petals -- and my heart--- are uplifted! I just took her a photo with some of her petals downwards... The blue Anemona photos you are going to see, are the only one in bloom. Under shadow she has a totally different look...The most of the blooms are sunbathed by a VERY strong sideways sunlight! But the captures are quite exciting just because of this!
And, yes, I gardened for 2-3 days, for about 2-3 hours each time...I cleaned and fed a very important and long border, among others!! When I finished ,I felt like I had taken myself the most magical bath, and ate the best Belgian chocolate...Although I only needed myself a very....good bath --- which I did...
Still , though, the garden-work ONLY now starts!! The Clematis need a very good pruning, a little later the Roses, too.. Some borders still need cleaning and feeding... I hope to find soon my normal energy within and without...My garden is the best treatment for THIS!!
I am a little lazy lately in writing long written texts , like before... I guess, it has to do with this same lack of energy...But I still LOVE YOU ALL!!!!

Now all's right with the world again. Lovely words and early spring photos from Liza. It is always so exciting to find those first brave blooms in the garden. I am sure your energy will rebound with more reliably warm weather.

Thank you so much for sharing all these lovelies and earlier postings of those marvelous captures of your clematis, Nicholas+Jeany and witch-hazel - I've enjoyed myself tremendously viewing them all!

My new Cat-Love story!!!17 Feb '08 11:37 pm
…..Today I’m going to share with you a very touching love story!!
Well, the two heroes in the story are a boy and a..”girl”. The “girl” is me, and the boy, the most adorable cat-personality I have met so far in my beloved Feline world…He is an adorable fluffy, grey-white cat, with expressive grey-green eyes and a sweet pink nose!
I met him for the first time last Summer, skinny and lovely, with an old collar firmly attached around his poor neck…He looked like an abandoned or lost young cat. He was then flirting with my old Lady Jeany cat… While I was gardening, I was watching them sitting opposite to each other on the lawn, staring at each other for …hours..
But while the time passed , he discovered he could come into the kitchen by the open door ,and share unbothered Jeany’s food…So, he got accustomed to visit us at the kitchen door , even when the door was closed…And we opened that door every time he wanted us to…
And the Winter was there! And the cat-boy was visiting the kitchen door all the more often…And he was sure by now that the “girl” was very fond of him, ( but not Jeany, the lady cat)..
So, he decided to let that human-girl free him from that awful firm collar! And put him some special drug against those round , tiny beasts on his neck..He even let her caress him, and clean him, like his mama used to do, all over, with a lightly moist soft clothing…
And then, Love came!! And Trust! And Affection! Towards all human-family members! He expressed a special affection even towards my husband, who never seemed to attract pet-animals so far!
And Love and Trust create more and more wonders! All the family falls in love with our new cat-boy! And he behaves like he had been living in this house all his life! He is the most extrovert and tender in his expressions of Love of all my beloved pet-animals so far (and I had a lot…)!! We love touching tenderly our fronts ! He is giving kisses all the time, like the tenderest of doggies!! We started having ..special cat/human discussions, like I used to have with all my cats (all my cats have been very talkative with me…)!!
And he is all the more relaxed and loving , and he lets me taking pictures of him unbothered…He is SOOOO adorable!!!
But, what about Jeany, the lovely jealous old cat?? Hmmmm….How about them together??? Well, things at the beginning were really tough! A direct aggressive stare of Jeany , directed into his eyes , and a funny strange meawing from her, was enough to make him leave at once! He recognized that this house was HER territory!
But I started cuddling them together at the same time..I moved Jeany’s food belongings upstairs, and showed them where EACH one SHOULD eat from now on…
You can see him here at moments, when suddenly Jeany appears in the same room with him ! Her look and his look!! Looking straight at each other! Being together in the kitchen..They are so funny….I hope they eventually tolerate eachother and become friends!!! Tolerance!! Another magical word apart from Love!
