Some mystical "paintings"...7 Jul '06 3:05 am
I have just loved them! They look like mystical paintings!..I am talking of those absolutely artistic photos taken by Moosey in the Chateau. In her special website analysis... This is a mystical place by itself. But the way the photos are captured by the eye of the photographer, add to them this mystical, exceptional artistic trait.. I have never seen an Azalea glowing in this way.. Enjoy here:

Liza, we had such a great walk, didn't we? Can you tell me what the main trees in the forest at the Chateau are?

| dixie wrote: | Jack - you mentioned that you saved some of the Moosey and forum photos such as these chateau ones in a folder - I have been hunting around to find out how to do that ,as I would like to save some photos too ..Do I click one of the icons at the top of the screen or something ??

Dixie, the way to save the photos is to put your cursor over the photo and it should turn into a little hand. Click on the photo and it will open up a full-size version in a new window. If you then move your cursor away from the picture and back over it again, a little toolbar should appear at the top left and one of the icons should be a disk. Click on this and you can save it. If that little toolbar doesn't come up, just right-click on the photo and there will be an option to "Save target as...".
I love collecting digital photos/art/etc and I have to admit, I've 'nicked' quite a few from this site! I'd never use them for anything other than my own enjoyment, though. At the moment, for my screensaver, I have a slideshow of all my animal photos.
Hope this helps.

Thank you ,Bambi
Someone told me how to save the pictures into a folder by right-clicking ,and then 'Save Picture As ',so I am doing that with the flowers and gardens for my own enjoyment ...I am so glad to be able to do this.

The Chateau in Autumn...19 Nov '06 3:45 am
Today it is a sunny, warm , gorgeous Autumnal day!! My boys (husband and son) are stuck on their computers... I asked them tenderly, with ...alluring adjectives for the glorious day, to come with me to the Chateau... But , in vain.. So, out I am with my camera, my heart beatting with excitement, driving to Chateau de La Hulpe!
I had previously made this visit twice, in late September with Nicholas, and late October alone, quite "disappointed" because the magnificent Nature of this blessed land was still...very green...
In this post, you will see the Nature around the Chateau in September . Right afterwards in October . And then, you'll see the pictures I took today (not all of them , though..)in November. It is amazing to notice and admire the movement of life during the changing of the seasons..

3-- The Chateau in November19 Nov '06 4:27 am
And here we are in the final, third stage of the Chateau in Autumn, the most glorious one : the Chateau in November, madly golden, undescribably mesmerizing, alluring!...
I know, that in Spring I had posted the photos of the woodland nature around the Chateau under the separate topic, "The Chateau de La Hulpe and its Woodland". So, if you want to compare the progressing , moving seasons since then , you have to go "back" there again...
I hope you appreciate and "feel" the beauty of this blessed place like I do...Which is so heartwarming , so soothing really... That's why I share it with you , anyway..

Autumn colours19 Nov '06 9:24 am
Thank you so much ,Liza ,for giving us this exquisite place to meditate on .(how can your boys resist such an alluring invitation ? )The Spring photos were beautiful ,and I saved them into my personal folder ,(when I learned how to ), but these Autumn photos are something so special and so exquisite ,taken with an Artist's eye .A master painter once advised me " LOOK with a SEEING eye ! " which is a good way to describe capturing the essence of a scene ,be it an exquisite detail such as a few little leaves,or the majestic scale of the Chateau and its environs.
Thank you ,
Dixie.

Dear Liza!!! How I wish I could have joined you for the walk. I love your take-root seat - it is also my favourite pic. I love 36; there is an airiness that I would love, but which I have never seen in a South African forest.
