What can I say, awesome site!!! I will return often. My garden, hmm, mainly ivy and ferns, since we're in the woods. Had lots of rain this Spring, & the Foxglove sprung up more bountiful than ever before! I did have lovely Moonflowers and purple Morning Glories decorating a mesh fence, last year. Thanks for a wonderful site!

What a super-fabulous website!!! Everything from the design to the colours, the way it runs, and of course the writing. You could/should write books. I especially loved the animals part, i was crying with laughter. Fantastic. You make me want what you have created for yourself.Great job, from Rachel

Dear Moosey, I was so pleased to see your new diary entries for June 2003. You sure have been busy planting hazelnut trees. Sounds so strange to me that anyone can plant trees in winter. We sure don't here. LOL Nice to hear that your son and his partner are visiting and everyone catching up on each other's lives. Have a great visit and happy gardening! Cheers. Jo-Anne

What a wonderful mother's day present your son gave you! What a wonderful site you've made.I live on the coast of southern Maine and like you, I love togarden. We only have a typical house lot, so not so much towork with as you have, but still have lots of fun.We are in zone 5, which means 4 months to garden in and 8 to dream of gardening. My current new love is Siberian Irises. I have 5 varieties andplan to expand. Thanks so much for sharing your garden with me.Marty

I've been searching for tips on growing marigolds from the seeds of the dead flowers and stumbled upon your website. Very informative! Thank you!I do have one question that I can't ask well and therefore you probably can't answer. Years ago, my great grandmother died and one of the only things my mother wanted from her little country house was a pot of flowers she had for years. The greenery is long and thin, like a day lily. But a single pink flower comes up out of the pot, lives for a couple of days, then dies. It can have many blooms at a time, but then needs to rest for a couple of days. My mother has had this pot for probably 25 years, and who knows how long my great grandmother had it! My mom brings it in every fall and leaves it in the basement. Then every spring she bring it out and waters it and it blooms all summer. My question? Does any of this sound familiar? I know it's hard without a photo. I've never seen anything similar and thought maybe you could help give our "Grandma Hickman" plant a name! Thanks for reading my long story!janet |
