Thank you , Mark! Anemona Blanda is of Greek origin, also called Greek Anemone.. But, what a pity, when I used to live in Greece, I never noticed her , because her home is at the mountains and she is so tiny! She also exists in white and light purple, but this very blue is my favorite colour! Yes, please, I would love to see a photo of this bullbinela S. African beauty (I guess our Jack is familiar with her, too)!

Beautiful springtime photos1 Mar '07 2:38 am
Dear Liza, I love your beautiful photos of awakening springtime beauties. As we have agreed in the past, spring is the most wonderful, hopeful season of the year. The Anemone is beautiful, but Mark mentioned a photo of your blue gate that was posted on another thread. I have searched and cannot find it. I would really love to see it if someone can tell me where to look.
Also, to Mark, I love YOUR new avatar. I am glad to see you taking such an active part in the Forum.

Dear Faith , I picked up this photo from another post of this section , presenting my garden last June ( : "Divine Art on the Peonies (and a view of a garden)"). This photo is now found separately in Mark's post , also in this section , together with the beautiful photos of his Berkeley garden.
Yes, Mark! Your avatar is lovely!

Why thanks for noticing,2 Mar '07 2:43 am
I was beginning to feel poorly clothed without an avatar. Those are persimmon leaves on our glider bench this past fall.

Liza, thank you for your lovely message (on the previous page) - it's so sweet of you to say you missed me . Unfortunately our computers are only today starting to get back to normal so I have been absent more than I would wish. . I agree, computers are, at the end of the day, simply labour-saving devices but then, if I didn't have access to one, I would never have known you my dear friend, or any of my other Moosey-friends, so I love them for that!
I've been trying to catch up a bit with what's been going on around the world but it's slow-going as there's rather a lot!
Hubby's half term was actually the week before last (12th - 16th Feb) so that's well behind us and a distant memory now! I've booked Monday and Tuesday off work though as I feel I need a little rest so I'm probably not going to be able to log on much during that time either, unless I'm really naughty and use hubby's computer! Even then I might not have the time because my list of things to do (lovely, fun, gardening things, I might add!) is getting rather long!
I like Mark's avatar aswell - good composition .

A few more awakenings..14 Mar '07 7:21 am
I admire these tiny creatures , that have endured with beauty and dignity the non-stop rain of the last 3 weeks! Anemonas Blanda, Daffodils,Primulas, the last Crocus...Last Saturday, the sun was back , so out I was with my camera! And since then, I have not stopped gardening hard each day!

There is an exquisite freshness about spring flowers - these ones are so pure ,and make me wish I had a 'close up 'camera lens to capture the details of my flowers . Dear Liza -your present avatar is my favourite !

And the Opposite of Spring14 Mar '07 7:45 am
For the opposite of spring - I'm off to the bulb farm today. Tulips - They are never strong enough for my gardening systems. Maybe some more miniature daffodils - we'll see what they're selling! I'd love more blue things, too. Hmm...

Thank you Dixie! Yes! Springtime is refreshing like its flowers! It is regenerating or uplifting!
This beautiful avatar-photo moment was captured last May, when the lovely Aubrietas were in full bloom and the Anemonas were at their end..This photo is very inspirational and joyful...It is showered by the Springtime spirit...
And, Mary, me, too, now that I can see where the Spring bloomers grow, I have already planned where I should add lots more of Crocuses and Daffodils in Autumn.. Because , in this garden, the tall, brilliant-red tulips are numerous and feel at ease.. I think this happens, because Mama-Holland, with almost the same climate, is next door!...
