This is not a prank on my part and I hope those are tears of joy.
Are you agreeable to my terms? What do you think?

We're all crying with you Dixie12 Apr '07 4:41 am
Dear Dixie, how blessed you are. And Christopher, how blessed you are as well. We will all be watching as Jack put it "with bated breath" for the outcome of this remarkable gesture.

A fairy Princess .12 Apr '07 3:27 pm
Dear Christopher and Debbie ,and Jack and Faith ...I am completely overwhelmed at the gift . You could not have known that at the time Christopher wrote his generous plans ,that we were thinking of our own Fairy Princess ,who left us while she was sleeping ,exactly three years ago this week .She was severely disabled ,so we feel she was set free and we will see her again made well .
Christopher I will ask Eggy to forward my Email - I will forward the cost of postage to you as it will be enormous . She will become a family heirloom ,and treasured not only because of who she is ,but because of the joy and kindness of spirit of her creator .

Now we are crying too12 Apr '07 9:12 pm
There must have been an angel on my shoulder whispering in my ear. I can't explain why I decided to do this now. It defies explanation.
Your photo has touched Deborah's and my hearts deeply. Shocking story. A tragic loss. Almost beyond comprehension.
I am so glad now that I was brave enough to share my talent this way. I can't explain why, but it just felt right, and still does.
Nice of you to offer to pay the postage. I will look forward to eggy's e-mail. The next thing to do is pic the wood. I don't know if I should post pix of the fairy as I work on her. Deb thinks it will spoil the surprise, but you (and others) might find it interesting to see it come together. If I do post pix, I will post them in a separate thread so I don't clutter up this one with odd pix. I'm not sure. What do you think? Would you like to see it come together or would you like to wait and see the finished surprise?

Angels whispering in your ear.13 Apr '07 1:49 am
Dear Christopher, you had it right when you said there must have been an angel sitting on your shoulder. Dixie, your loss was heartbreaking I know, yet you have the courage and faith to believe that this was not the final act and you will see her again. I know from personal experience that there are no "accidents" and that the timing of this unexpected gift from Christopher was orchestrated by higher powers. You can consider this a gift from not only Christopher, but your little Fairy Princess as well.
Much love to you both in this endeavor.
Christopher, your question about whether to document the construction will be answered if you just keep your mind and heart open to messages from beyond.

An Angelic corner of our Forum...13 Apr '07 9:34 am
Since I was little I believed in Angels...Meaning , Guardian angels and things like that...Nobody had talked to me about them, but for me they simply existed, and were real and joyful, like the flowers that I loved , like the animals or people that I loved...And they were not necessarily carrying any wings on their backs...Sometimes, they would even wear ...blue-jeans...
I don't know if Christopher's Angel was sitting on his shoulder, talking to him about the little Fairy Princess...Maybe, he was just sitting by his side, murmuring in his benevolent, gracious mind.. Some little children, like the Fairy Princess, can actually see them -- Angels-- when nobody else can... Maybe , only those with a heart of a pure child....

Oh Dixie, I've just had the opportunity to read through this wonderful thread,
watching your fairy garden grow, as if by magic, before my eyes, post by post,
and now I've seen the magic transcend the world of fairies.
I think there's a touch of magic in a certain Garden Gnome, too.
Thinking back to the quote you cited,
| Quote: | "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched . . .
. . . they must be felt with the heart."
Helen Keller. | my heart is truly filled with almost aching happiness
and sadness all mixed together.
Extraordinary, most beautiful, indeed.

About Fairy Princess..16 Apr '07 1:29 am
I felt I need to make clear to you , why I did not participate deeper in the sad news about little Fairy Princess in my previous post...Well, because I already know about her a long time ago...And because this last year of my life was mostly sadness and depression , because of my own severely handicapped grandson...I do not support any more sadness... I have a little Nicholas here , who does not like his mama sad any more...
This is Life, you know! We have to progress, evolve, and continue living normally, with Hope and Love, and positive attitude, each one in his/her own reality!! I have never met a family so far , without a small or big, known or secret, human tragedy... But, we have to go on living... We have no choice! And live well!
