hi moosey... both you and your website are lucky finds in the great sea of internet ports... thanks for sharing your interests with such beauty and enthusiasm... the photographs are quite memorable... and helpful... i stumbled upon the site through google researching autumnal flowers for my wedding in october... however your living in new zealand and me and florida presents a slight discrepancy in seasons... no problem though... i'm sending the site to friends! happy trails... teresa

Dear Moosey, I so enjoyed viewing your country garden. I stumbled on it when I was looking up Centaurea montana (Mountain Bluets). My husband and I have a very small yard and I am just learning the pleasure in gardening. My children are mostly grown and MS keeps me from working much, so enjoying my yard is a new hobby. I am amazed I did not discovery it before. I guess we just sometimes never take time to smell the roses in our own garden. My girls are 22 senior in college and the other is 24, a dental hygenist. My husband is a Providence, Rhode Island Fire Fighter working on a busy rescue. Our home is a cape on a small lot with a built in pool a real pretty herb garden that has gone on to become a place for all the plants that I love. We have two dogs and two cats, maybe another cat soon as we just lost one to sickness. Thank you so much for sharing your garden with us, it seems like you really know how to love your life. I can't wait for my husband to come home so I can share your garden with him. You inspired me to go out and see what is new this morning in my garden. Thanks, Cheryl

Dear Moosey, I was told about the site by Nick but he never said just how fantastic your garden is. Sitting in my office in a grey London your pictures have brightened my day. Thank you.

Dear Mary, I find it hard to realize that you are now going through the beginning of winter, while I'm in the midst of hot/humid weather for several weeks now and temperatures nearly 100 degrees fahrenheit. Too hot to work in the garden and so I have lots of weeds still to remove. The herbs and flowers seem to love this tropical-like weather. I don't generally care much for winter, the cold, having to wear all the heavy clothes, etc., but I think the best thing about winter is that we gardeners can finally take a little much-needed rest. Great time to dream and plan for next year too, isn't it? Bye for now, keep warm and healthy. Jo-Anne Lemaire |
