I love getting your newsletters in my email, Moosey!3 Nov '05 8:29 pm
It's great reading, I learn something, I get amused by your pets' antics, and always see some wonderful pictures. Loved reading about the once-big-fleeced now thinner-defleeced sheep, and congratulations on your great fleece production, George! I've probably missed where you said it on your site, but how many sheep do you generally raise on your farm? Your flowers are lovely, and the rose avenue looks really cool with just the arches up. I can hardly wait to see how fantastic they'll will look with gorgeous roses growing up each of them! How wonderful that your lady visitors had such fun exloring your garden. Wish I had been one of them! It was great seeing Taj-Dog again, and good thing too as every puppy needs a doggie mentor. :)So nice to see your garden really coming along. Thanks again for compiling this great newsletter. Until next time, cheers. Jo-Anne |

Jo-Anne, you are a legend! Always encouraging, never grumpy - for example, we are just coming into summer here, but you never show any petty green envy! Ha! Only problem here is that my work has been a bit 'silly' - perhaps, finally, I will cut these semi-retired ties? Why don't I?
Hope your garden is OK as it prepares for less daylight and the approaching winter. Thanks for enjoying the newsletter - I really enjoy preparing it! And wait - your garden may still be one of the 'not really rich and definitely not famous' ones, but very very soon , when my web manager says the word, this will all change! hee hee! Start choosing those garden photographs!
Cheers, and happy gardening |

Moosey's Newsletter5 Feb '06 7:41 am
Hi, Moosey. Again, another wonderful newsletter chock full of great photos and lots of interesting garden happenings. It was just the thing to lift my spirits today with the overcast rainy weather we've been having. It looks like a typical spring day out there and it's 38 F degrees. Very strange and unseasonably warm winter for us.
I've really enjoyed looking at all the recent garden photos in the forums and have been going through my own from the last couple of years. I'll post some later this month and hope not to bore everyone silly. Thanks again for sharing your garden, Mary. Cheers.
P.S. I'm very envious - really green! I just haven't told you about it 'til now. |

Jo-Anne,
You'd better get that autumn (fall?) garden well planned in advance - I shall definitely be inspecting it late this September! Tickets are booked, plans are advanced, lists are being written, shoes are being trialled! Sarnia here I come! And thanks again for the newsletter feedback. My website manager despairs of me, writing so many journal pages - she's certain that the newsletter will ened up boring readers senseless.
And Rusty's dog-diet is making progress. No longer shaped like a coffee table, he is starting to slope quite nicely down the sides of his back, if you know what I mean, and his dog-ribs can almost be felt!
Cheers, and happy garden planning! |

Moosey, So good to hear that you are now fully retired so you can be a full-time gardener. I know you'll never run out of garden projects.
I have again enjoyed your newsletter. My lingularia is the one with sun spots all over green leaves, and it didn't have flowers in its first year so I don't know if it ever does. The first year it did reasonably well in its shady spot but nearly disappeared in the second year. I love the purple foliage and bright yellow flowers on your lingularia. Hope it does even better for you next year.
I have a pair of thick-soled green canvas (I dyed them) sneakers that I wander around garden nurseries in when I'm plant shopping. Whenever I travel my wardrobe colours are blues, purples and greens - my favourite colours. Same for gardening.
My fall garden and I will gladly welcome you, Mary, should you get to Sarnia this September. We can have lunch or dinner in the garden, weather permitting. Cheers until next time. Have fun gardening! Jo-Anne |
