The Fairy13 Jun '05 4:02 pm
I bought The Fairy last year in a 3 gal. It had a lot of tiny flower buds, but never did bloom. I switched from a 20-20-20 fertilizer to a 10-52-10 fertilizer this year and it still does not bloom. It is on its own roots. It still has a lot of buds but no blooms. All my other roses are blooming except for The Fairy. What is the secret to getting it to bloom?
Thanx,

Fairy rose buds6 Jul '05 9:57 am
Hi and welcome to the forum! Sorry it's taken me so long to say hi. Webmaster and I have been running around the country. No garden visits unfortunatley tho.
What a peculiar problem - I can't imagine what is stopping the buds from turning to rose blooms. And what a shame, as the Fairy is such a beautiful rose.
No bugs in sight? |

Dear friend, the adorale Fairy always blooms in the mid-end of July in the summer time of Europe, when all the other Roses start blooming by the end of May.Is it possible that her late blooming in the season is her only "problem"? I hope it is...
All my love, Liza from Belgium |
