What's wrong with this climber?2 May '05 4:39 am
First off, thank you for all the great suggestions about companion planting in my rose garden. Most helpful and much appreciated.
I have gone by the book to obtain good rose stock from a rose nursery famous for its quality, and planted a pair of Berries 'n Cream climbers, either side, to grow up an arbour. They are planted in identical conditions. One is thriving, the other isn't exactly dying but is not happy. The upper leaves are wilting, some curling up. It's as though moisture isn't getting through and seems to be on one cane and all its "babies".
I can post a photo if that would help. I found out about something called "heat wilt" and our temperatures have turned very warm following a cool & damp spring (I've been diligently picking off blackspotted leaves and disposing of them).
Any suggestions, about what it could be and what to do about it? |

Oh dear, how peculiar. Could you post a photo for us to see? Cheers. |

It could be that the graft has failed. If you go back to the people you bought it from, they should replace the plant. At least ask their advice on the problem. |
