26 Apr '05 2:57 am We won't be attending the Hampton Court Flower Show this year. Bex and I have had a chat about it and we'd rather spend time visiting gardens than flower shows and we are going to Chelsea this year after all.
Flower shows like Hampton and Chelsea are very tiring and there are so many beautiful photographic opportunities on offer that it can take days just to catalogue and name photos accurately. We're still getting thru our photos and video from last year!
We're sorry that we won't be at the Hampton show in 2005 so I've rounded up all the remaining unpublished photos from last year to make up for it. There's 160 photos in all.
If anyone is going to Hampton this year then please let us know about your day.

30 Apr '05 8:26 am I think the nicest thing about garden visiting can be the personality of the gardener. I don't even mean that a visitor gets to meet him or her. You can often get a sense by walking around and looking. In fact I'm always far too shy to meet the real gardener - I never know what to say!
On a commercial continuum in the gardening world, a lot of businesses are in the garden market just to sell, sell, sell - and good on them, too. On the opposite end are the secret gardeners who don't ever intend to make the slightest bit of money out of their passion. Must admit I'm less inclined to visit gardening events and more inclined to visit real gardens!
But I'm still envious when others get to go ... and I'd still like to go to the Hampton Court event. Hmm.... One day!
