I had the same problem with peppers but for some reason this year all the seeds I have sown have germinated! Lol, I put in about 36 (cos you know, they never come up) so that will be a LOT of peppers if they all keep growing!
I did wait a bit longer till starting them this year. That may have been the difference, it was warmer.
Are the carrots of the heirloom variety? Can you let the hybrid ones seed? Will they be the same?
I have never tried to keep seed from anything other than the old plain varieties of veg. Would be interesting to experiment

10 Dec '05 12:09 pm The orange carrot is Yates 'Baby Carrot'. I'm letting some seed and will resow later.
As for the yellow carrot - unsure if its a heirloom (think it might be?) and I think its called lubinia(sp). I've let that run to seed and will collect seeds once they're ready for picking and will try my luck at resowing.

But its all good - its a brand new Keith Hay(????) home, and the kitchen is to die for

I was out watering my garden today (I usually hook up the sprinkler) and noticed a number of things are ready for the picking.
At the top is some baby red silverbeet leaves.
Left to Right, top to bottom
Asparagus pea
Garlic
Carrots (Orange baby and Lubinia)
Pea (dwarf massey)
Potato (Lavender)
2 leage heads of cauliflower are ready to be picked but they would have looked odd in this basket... not that they'd have fit anyway
