18 Feb '05 4:11 am PLEASE HELP! I have a 140 sq ft section of daylilies that I would like to remove. I have sprayed them with weed killer with no results. Is there anyway to remove them without having to dig the entire section up?!!!

20 Feb '05 1:55 pm Eek! I don't know about the weed killer (cos they are often naturally deciduous and their tops die off anyway), but I reckon your trouble will be to get all the pieces of root up and out, should you dig. Several clumps I've dug out here - ha! ha! - are back as large as life! Best of luck, and lets hope someone with better experience then me replies!. Cheers.

remove day lilies
15 May '05 3:49 am I had to hire a professional landscaper to remove the majority of them... a few eluded the workers. Once they were under control, as they appeared, I was able to dig them up myself and spray "Round Up" in the hole before I filled it again. It took a little time, but eventually they all disappeared.
Good luck!
