We arrived at one motel and asked the receptionist what the plant was that we had seen on our drive in. It took her a while to figure out what gorgeous golden shrub we were talking about.

27 Aug '09 9:59 am Ha! MacFlax, you're welcome to some of ours. We've been battling an ancient gorse hedge along our boundary fence for years now. We seem to have eradicated most of the original plants but every year a gazillion baby gorses pop up requiring quick action. In fact I've just noticed some largish ones flowering happily along our creek!
