That is a good question Raintree.
I love salads made from fresh fruit. We are lucky here in NZ in that we have some sort of fruit in the garden all year around-at present it is citrus.I am about to plant my strawberries. |

You are fortunate to have wonderful fruit all year-round. I bet you can't wait for your strawberries. Here's a great salad that incorporates fresh strawberries with juicy apples. The flavors are tied altogether with light Raspberry Vinaigrette dressings that add sweet and tangy flavors.
Strawberry-Apple Salsa Salad
1 pt. strawberries, sliced
1 medium McIntosh apple, chopped
1 medium Granny Smith apple, chopped
2 Tbsp. sliced green onions
2 Tbsp. chopped cilantro
3/4 cup KRAFT Light Raspberry Vinaigrette Dressing
6 cups torn spinach leaves or romaine lettuce
TOSS strawberries with apples, onions, cilantro and dressing in large bowl. Let stand 15 min.
ADD spinach just before serving; mix lightly.
This recipe is great on chicken too!
Variation - Strawberry-Apple Salsa Chicken
Prepare as directed, omitting spinach. Serve strawberry mixture spooned evenly over 6 cooked boneless skinless chicken breast halves. Makes 6 servings.

Lily, that would actually make a good wrap with Ranch Dressing. Have you tried that before? |
