Jack,So sad to tell you this is not me in any of these pix. That fellow resides in California, but I am hard pressed by that dream in particular. We did have a puppet stage in a trailer at one point a long time ago, but we never used it much and never to camp in.
Besides, my marionettes are more pleasing to the eye, I would think.
Mark, Craftsmanship seems to be a hallmark of the house trucks. Someplace I have a link to a fellow who took photos of his house truck construction and they are real interesting to view. I'll post it if I can find it.
Dixie, My Grandma had a Morris Cambridge when I was a child. One day my brother borrowed it and wouldn't return it. So my dad drove my Gran and me over to my brothers place and my Gran drove her car home and I went with her. There was snow on the ground. When our street came up, she pushed on the brake........no brakes! So she turned the corner anyway, but she was going too fast on the snowy street and we slip off the road into the ditch, all like in slow motion. We found ourselves sitting in our seats, the car on it's passenger side, Gran held her seat by bracing against the steering wheel. It was all in slow motion so we never got a jolt or jar. Nana says to me, "This is different." in a sort of matter-of-fact way and we both burst into laughter. My dad came along and found us sitting in the ditch. He came over to the car and said, "Nana, I don't think you should park there." and we burst into laughter again.
That poor little car was done for because the body was pinched when the tow truck pulled it out and popped the windscreen out. Never could get a windshield back into the pinched body. But a year or so later she gave me the car and I use to take it for joy rides in the big field behind our house. Later I took it apart and made it into a dune buggy, but I never got to drive it as a dune buggy as it was too unsafe.
Your wedding photos look beautiful. Nice woodies, too.

I'm afraid the title of this thread reflects my mood lately.
Dixie, your pots are beautiful. The blue goes so well with those plants.
Christopher, I love your models!

I hope you are feeling a bit better now Macflax.Sympathies to you.
As the signs of spring are approaching things don't look so bad.sometimes it is hard to remeber that the garden DOES look good after winter.
Anyway at the local market on Saturday a lady had a stall with plants in unusual containers and I bought this-I am delighted with it-it cost $8 NZ,and i have it on my kitchen windowsill,so things are looking up again!

Beautiful pitcher, Dixie.4 Aug '09 7:16 am
What a find! I have no idea what 8 dollars New Zealand would cost me in US dollars but it sure looks worth it. I'm not sure whether I'd use it as a vase or a water pitcher but I'd certainly put one to use. Way to shop.

$8 NZ is $4 US Mark.
I have bought American dollars at the bank for a CD from a country and western singer in Missouri..The cD was $20 US and by the time i had bought US dollars and paid bank fees,it cost me $50...Yet CDs here would be about $20-25,so it is really expensive.

That is some very expensive music, Dixie. I've been downloading music for the last few years. I rarely buy whole CD's anymore but when I do I'm as likely to but them on line as not. Since I use a MAC computer, I shop at the itunes store online where each song is a buck a pop.
I'm looking at using more of those screen tiles that I've used near the hot tub and beside the fountain in the makeover for the old veggy garden. They now cost $19/each and I want to make two square panels of them. Originally I'd been thinking to make them 3 by 3, but I may cheapout and go for 2 by 2.
