Let me try, let me try!12 Apr '09 4:56 pm
I'll have to use Dixie's as a model:
There once was a gnome from Saskatchewan
who hunted parts from hell and back again.
"Pay full price" asked he
"When this stuff comes free?"
"Now get out there and just catch you one."
With that gnome up there in Saskatchewan
lived his dear lil' wife and another one
They plant many seeds
though not many trees
But ask him just right and he'll fetch you one.
Happy spring in Gnomeland!

You guys are driving me off me rocker!13 Apr '09 7:07 pm
What a silly bunch!
Now let me 'ave a go.
The Garden Gnome from Saskatchewan
In a wild yard in southern Saskatchewan
lived a gnome who tended the gardens there.
His wife asked him sleepily, "What hat you wan'
to tuck up the locks of your hair?"
He said, "I am just going to mow the lawn,
so my green cap will warm me above."
Then off he went with his arms of brawn
in the cap she had made him with love.
Then all at once dear wife went shy as a fawn
and her cheeks went red as ripe fruit.
She said,"I hope there's no brambles to catch you on!"
for all he wore was her cap and his birthday suit.

Now with socks on.
Just a note here to up-date. I have been running around shopping for items needed for my puppet build in recent days. I hope I have all I need now and soon I will commence building.
Mom has moved into the greenhouse and has transplanted all the mini roses and geraniums into bigger pots. I am falling behind with my transplanting duties, unfortunately, due to puppetry obligations, but I am determined to pick up the slack as soon as possible.
The snow is almost gone, but the weather weenies say we could have a cold snap yet. We will just have to wait and see.
On with today's routine.

Update for May 89 May '09 9:25 am
Hello there, my friends.
Well, here it is May 8 already and I'm very busy these days. I am under pressure now to get this puppet project done on time and so I have neglected even logging onto the computer these days. Mom and Deb have been keeping things moving along with the plant department. Mom has been coming over almost every day, bless her heart. Otherwise I don't know how I would manage everything.
Deb is doing well and I would like to say I was 100%, but I've gained back problems and so I must be careful or I'm down for the count.
It's so good to see all the new seedlings coming along. I'll post some pix here for your eager eyes, and than I must be off to the shop.
I'll post again soon.
Christopher

This pic was taken a few weeks ago. All the snow is long gone, now. Except, it's trying to snow today!

Well done...9 May '09 2:54 pm
I'm intrigued - | Quote: | | Mom has moved into the greenhouse | - has she set up a bed in there? Hee hee.
And you're a legend with all those trays of youngster plants. Well done all - love to Deb and Mom. Hope your glass-house has at least got electricity so Mom can brew up a hot drink in the evenings before bedtime...
Have heaps of fun with your puppetry project. Groovy gardeners need sidelines - even if sometimes they get a bit too wide and use up too much paint. Take care, M

Christopher,
I've lost your contact info and have been trying to reach you for SGI as they want to add another aspect to the show you built for them. You can contact me through our website wideopen.ca and I'll pass on the contact info for them. Is your puppet website still running?
The plants look great!
