20 Feb '05 2:26 pm I believe that it is a form of tobacco, This could be the Old Heirloom "only the Lonely" a.k.a. Nicotiana Sylvestris,
although if it is, it is still quite young, this plant will grow in this cold climate to over 5 ft. tall. The leaves look a bit too pointed though.

Pink Flowering Tobacco Plant
1 Mar '06 5:48 am Did you know that there are pink tobacco plants as well as white? - hard to tell from photo definately - sorry i couldn't see it too well. But i think it might be wild tobacco or Nicotiana sylvestris.
I doubt it is Angel's Trumpet, that has a very different growing formation.
Tobacco plants spread so easily, the seed is like pepper virtually.
Because they are so sticky to brush up against, i only grow them near fences where i don't often walk - whereas i am pottering in the vegies constantly so i don't grow them near vegies. But i get itchy from many garden plants, so maybe that's just me.
