Spring Cleaning & Close Ups
2 Sep '04 7:41 pm It was a nice idea of yours and plenty of optimisim Moosey but I am afraid if your weather is anything like Geraldine weather this afternoon you will have had to postpone your Garden Spring Clean. The short spell of warm weather had me putting plants in the ground and carting away a mountain of weeds and actually enjoying getting my hands dirty, now I'm indoors reading gardening diaries and thinking of an early night with a hot water bottle.
Your flower close ups are very very nice by the way, is it your trusty Canon A20 or did you upgrade?
I made a trip to my local Garden Centre a couple of days ago and the owner expressed surprise at seeing me, I told her I had refound my lost enthusiasm for gardening and proved it by having a jolly good fossick in the Sale Bin and other corners...what I should have done then was send the account to Mooseys Country Garden as I lay the blame entirely at your Diary's door
Still, there are worse ways to spend the housekeeping

3 Sep '04 7:54 am You are so right
The weather here in the Manawatu has been downright awful for almost all this year-so much rain, cold, frosts, hail but fortunately no pestulence
A good trip to the garden centre when we get some decent weather will be top of the list for me(I even have some vouchers I was given for Xmas to spend )

9 Sep '04 7:36 pm The weather has been lousy in Auckland too.... just so much wind
But, on a brighter note, we have just had a couple of glorious sunny, windless days!
Summer is here! (wishful thinking )
It's amazing how much more can be achieved when the sun shines

10 Sep '04 7:52 am Yes Pumpkin we too have had some nice weather-5 days now with no rain. The grass is starting to grow which is good for the animals as it has been a long cold and wet winter and our fed bills have been huge.Hopefully we are on the up now
