I only returned yesterday to my computer apres-Holidays, and today I just discovered the sad news...Christopher ,starting reading your very first post in this thread, I was panicked, cause I thought you were about to inform us of a ...departure/death in the family...This thing feels like a death, there is SO much sorrow!! But it is NOT a death! And there is ALWAYS HOPE , that the beloved missing companion can be found!! Which I wish you, from the bottom of my heart!!

STORM IS HOME!

Out of the depths of despair, our hearts have been lifted. Our dog is home!

After a restless night of bad dreams and Deborah waking, thinking she heard Storm's bark outside. This morning when the phone rang we were still in bed. It was the Humane Society with a simple message, "Your dog has been found and she is at this address."

Seems she was found at the ice rink about 5 blocks from our place, a week ago by a little girl and taken home. Yesterday her mom was at the corner store and saw a poster for our missing dog, took the poster home and checked the tattoo on her ear. Phoned the Humane Society this morning and now our dog is home. I picked her up about 45 minuets ago.

A kind anonymous person put up a $500 reward and money made the difference. Or so it would seem. She has been gone for 25 days.

She seems to be okay, although she is a little thinner. No wounds or frostbite. She is weary and a little disorientated, but for the most part she seems all right.

Thank you all so much for your support over this trying time.

Be happy my friends. Storm is home at last.

Yeay! What wonderful news! Yippee! Yippee! And assorted shouts of joy, molto fortissimo.

Right. What you have to do, if you have the time, is post some pictures of dog and humans smiling!

I am off swimming, and will put in an 25 LENGTHS on Storm's behalf.

Today, as I was logging onto the website, I was thinking that maybe there would be a message from you Christopher telling us that Storm had been found. As soon as I saw your message, I was thrilled to have this little premonition come true. I know Storm is happy to be back with her loving family and that her family is happy to have her back.

I am so happy for you. I know from experience how devastating it can be to have a pet lost or stolen. I am very glad you had a happy ending.

I didn't realize how many days it had been! 26! I would be totally freaked out. Scary just to think about. I am so happy for you!

Oh, Debs & Christopher!

I was certain that with the huge amount of publicity Storm would be returned home. But still, when evil and greed become involved our frail human systems so easily collapse. I am so thrilled the story had a happy ending! Now you can celebrate the season belatedly!

It adds to our joy immeasurably when we share with our friends here on Moosey's. I admit when this thread started out it was rather sad. I knew it would be a downer and didn't want to inflict sadness on anyone here and possibly put a damper on your Christmas. However, I felt compelled to eventually post and now I'm glad I did. Your support has made a huge difference for me and especially for Deborah.

Jack, your dog looks so much like ours, at least in the face. What a cute dog. Could you post another picture of Doubly so we can see the rest of him, please?
