Hello Poodles! Your garden looks so terriffic! I have never heard of a rock melon, but that is one beautiful vine. Are rock melons like watermelons or more like honeydew melon?

What a delightful array of fruit and vegetables.
I first tasted rock melon when I visited Australia, and loved its mild flavour. It was served with passionfruit and ice-cream as I recall.Yummy.
what a lovely big driveway-less lawns to mow!

Mmmm, it sounds yummy!21 Dec '07 11:46 am
I think your rock melon must be very like what we call honeydew melon. Most honeydews are light green inside, but I have seen some orange fleshed ones too. Hope you enjoy your Christmas fruit salad.

It's so spacious, and you OBVIOUSLY have a real expert lawn-mower, hee hee. Do you hire him out? I suspect it's a him...
Have a merry Christmas, Poodles, and all the best to all your family. Cheers, M

ah ha moosey i love to walk the mower as i collect all the clippings ,HE likes to ride the mower. At this point of time the poor garden just had that awful weather just at xmas we had well over 6inches of rain and the veg garden is suffering again i can pick a lot of it though ,one day i will have it built up enough so it doesnt get waterlogged ,i felt like crying when i saw on friday the vines and tomatoes all curling up but then a lot of places need the water just have to go gardening again ,
