New Sons-in-law
14 Nov '07 1:11 am Congratulations to Moosey/Mary on her wonderful news. I do think Sons-in-law can be cajoled into helping around the garden. They are usually more eager to cement their place in the family and won't complain like natural born sons (or daughters for that matter) will.
I am very happy for you, Mary.

Many congratulations!
14 Nov '07 2:00 am Fantastic news, Moosey!
I'm sure your new son-in-law will be only too happy to help out, as long as you have a nice cold beer ready for him afterwards and he can watch the rugby/cricket/football/whatever with NGP!

16 Nov '07 10:31 pm AHA! I remember the name being bandied about in my earliest days on the forum. I got the impression then that (a) he was in favour and (b) he was feisty. Good. He's going to need to be, for I gather he has a feisty wife and I can vouch he has a feisty mother-in-law.
Champagne all round! And much joy!!

17 Nov '07 4:09 pm Hee hee. Thank you all! Now comes a difficult moment - do I tell new son-on-law I think one of the cats has - ahem - already peed over his surfboard cover? In the interests of familial harmony I could just - keep mum....
