Ok we had an airing of the "guys side"
Ladies feel free to chime in where I missed...
If we can put it down you can put it up your a big boy its not that difficult and we complain because we fall in you dont.
Compliments wont kill you.
Aiming at the toilet isnt that hard,if you need we can make a target for the bottom to give you something to aim at and make it a sport.
We arent your mother and shouldnt have to pick up after you, your a grown up so grow up.
Buying an appliance is NOT a gift its an APPLIANCE and is NEEDED.
Bringing flowers dosnt count if WE are the ones that grow them.
Changing the channel in the middle of OUR show when there is a perfectly good tv in the other room.
Taking out the garbage is actually making it IN the trashcan.
Remembering a birthday or anniversary shouldnt take a banner and a full band to jog your memory.
No we dont cook like your mom and we are HAPPY about that.
Being romantic isnt a slap to the rear and "good job!"
Going out shouldnt consist of a sports bar with a game on you could have ignored us at home watching.
Yelling at us for something you did will insure that we remember and embarass you with it at parties.
Wearing socks to bed is not considered sexy.
Sitting in your recliner and moving your feet while we clean the floor is not considerd help.
Telling us about any body function is an overshare.
Farting is not a sport...see above listing.
Programming electronics does not require special tools or a male apptitude, we can and have done it with out you.
What we wear isnt fine, you do look at victoria secret modles.
Finally we dont care if you have hair we like bald its sexy. |

Men Are from Mars, Women Are From Venus!19 Sep '07 5:06 am
Angela, some 10-12 years ago, my beloved daughter offered me for my Birthday a book by John Gray, having the same title my post has. I had first thought it was a funny book those days! Reading its title it was humorous, indeed. But BELIEVE ME, NOT the book itself!!
Reading the book, I was happy and astounded to find out, that certain private details of my reactions/emotions/feelings, regard ALL the women of the world, and NOT only me!! The book is divided into two parts : The first one is what WOMEN feel deeply in the everyday interaction with their companions, and what men have to seriouly consider, IF they are interested to become happier in their relationship. The second part is how MEN feel about the everyday interaction with their female companion, and how SHE has to learn to behave, IF she wants her relationship happier. My husband, a rather rational and introvert person, was caught by me weeping while reading this second part...which was reffering to the relationship between sons+fathers during childhood, in particular....
I assure you, that , after reading this magnificent , beautifully written book, I understood certain "unexplicable" reactions of my father in the past, and also understood much better my husband and son!!
After reading this book in English a couple of times , I bought it also in French, and offered it as a present to French speaking friends here in Belgium! And why not refreshing my memory right now?? It is SUCH a wonderful book with eternal values..
P.S . Afterwards, I bought one more book by John Gray : "MEN ARE FROM MARS, WOMEN ARE FROM VENUS, Children are from Heaven" !! |
