Milton Web Cam
21 Sep '07 7:58 am I was able to go to the website in Liza's post (thanks Gordon). Threre I found a web cam for Milton, NZ .. Dixie's backyard I think. There was a good sized black bird at a birdfeeding station. The image didn't change during my quick look. This is the url at that page:

21 Sep '07 12:12 pm Huh ? I think Milton is nearer Mooseys really. However the website 123-cams is an enjoyable time-waster and I have spent ages webcamming in our nearby Hamilton where I grew up.Hamilton has the Waikato river running through and also a big lake.I also tried the Pacific islands but could not connect.

What an enchanting avatar.
21 Sep '07 4:41 pm Dixie your new avatar is a beaut. Looks like I got your nearest town mixed up. I should know better than to trust my memory.

21 Sep '07 4:49 pm Hi, Mark - That black bird was still there when I just took a look! What a slow eater!! I'm off on holidays at 4:00 tomorrow (Friday) morning. I want to catch the first ferry to the mainland at 6:20 so I can have lunch in Whistler. But I heard this morning that there was a ton of new snow on one of the mountain freeways this morning, so my steep, crooked back road might be lots of fun! But I have my camera!!
I'll try to post an update from Kelowna on Sunday.
Cheers!

You'd better get some sleep then Gordon.
21 Sep '07 4:55 pm Save journey tomorrow. You are no doubt more experience than I with those kinds of road conditions but man I'd go another way or another time. I look forward to your postings though. Between you, Jack and Moosey its like having our own foriegn reporters out on the road for us. Be safe out there,
