Mary's latest Journal..30 Aug '07 8:08 am
Faith, you just made me ...search for Mary...With my own fire-distress histeria (sorry, Hissy pussicat...), it is the first time I missed her latest "Springing" journal, where red Rhodo has started blooming already, and Camelias , too!! Where, Hissy pussicat is becoming Missy Friendship pussicat! Where some more gorgeous feline photos appear...Thank you, Mary!! You made my day,...again!! And , thank you , Faith, who made me search for Mary...
And , Mary, you have Fluff-Fluff making ...pipi on the TV!! And I have had -- repeatedly, out of competition with her feline family members!!-- Lady old Jeany cat, making pipi, on the ....DVD Player, until it...stuck, and its technological life ended..out of pipi- disgrace....And we bought another one...And she is the only one alive now, out of ...six fellow cats...And no piipi any more on the new DVD --- no competition, you see... |

Funny Liza31 Aug '07 2:22 am
Yes, Dixie, I agree that Liza's post is hilarious. I guess everyone who has ever owned cats has experienced this problem at one time or another. We actually had two cats until last year. One was my daughter's cat who came to live with us while she was living out of the country for nine months. When she returned home, I refused to let her take her cat back because he had become part of our home. I lived to regret that decision however when he began to mark everywhere (including the front of our new big screen tv) because he was anxious over the dog. We lost him last November and although I missed his sweet personality, I did not miss the other! |

&%*@****%! I hope not. We've only had our first ever DVD player since last week and I haven't even turned it on yet let alone watched our (only) DVD.
I've had Maya Angelou Cat 17 years but the deceptive little hussy probably lied about her age, just like she did about her virginity.
JayBee to vet "This is our new kitten, could you spay her please"
Vet "Too late. This "kitten" is full of other kittens". |

Oh dear me! A kitten in kitten!
Yes, Liza, Histeria just doesn't suit her shorter name, Hissy, any more. She is a darling - a leg rubber, and by far the brainiest young cat I've ever looked after! A good home has come up for one of the three, but I think it's too late for me now. I've bonded! |

Mary, dearest....31 Aug '07 9:34 pm
..first of all, I am SO happy to see you in our Forum again..I know how Springtime is a blessing for Mind-Body-Spirit, a magigal enchanting Force, that makes us dash out into our waking-up gardens! Full of new odours and colourful promisses, giving us Creativity and Inspiration...An amazing Rebirth, indeed...
But , sweet Mary, OK, you were out there, to admire the magnificent glaciers -- how wonderful!! And you have acquired that new exciting book about the N.Zealand Plant Treasures, and -- quite late, I think...--- certain famous Head Gardeners discovered our own -- very special!!-- Head Gardener-- we are SO very proud! But , still, your absence of Journal and Forum makes us worried... Just pop in and post 1-2 words...
I personally have been deep into family and other worries , so I did not notice your absence right away this time... So happy you have been so creative and active during your absence...
Ex-Histeria lovely kitten looks SO adorable in your previous Journal photo!! You could now call her ..."Blissy", and not Hissy, out of the bliss she-herself feels -- because she is SO much loved and taken care! And because she shows her bliss to her fellow beings , just by expressing with utmost gentleness, tenderness, and love her own fulfillment...Aren't we-humans reacting like this, whenever we feel equally fulfilled, and loved, and happy?? |

Ahhh, all's right with the world again1 Sep '07 1:12 am
Our dear Mary, we are so demanding aren't we? You try to take a few days for a little fun and we jump your case. It was so wonderful to read your new Journal post this morning and learn that you were off having fun. Maybe you could give a little hint before taking off again so we wouldn't get so anxious.
As for the burgeoning fame, look out, the HG papparazzi(sp?)will be hounding your steps before long. I think the fact that other professional HG's are taking notice is well deserved. |

Dear Faith - you're not demanding at all, you're a wonderful friend! So when you come to New Zealand we can retrace the tyre tracks and you can experience this amazing West Coast forest etc. Hee hee! Lots of love to you, family, and garden.
Actually, I can't remember a month where I've worked more solid hours in the garden. It's been magical. Hope my garden appreciates all efforts by bering super-beautiful. It probably will look just the same! |

Super gardening effort2 Sep '07 3:54 am
First of all, I can't wait. Second, my best wishes to you, your family, and your garden as well.
All your super gardening efforts will surely bear great rewards. Even now, when the end results are still in the future, you have reaped great benefits from your efforts through the mental and physical enjoyment of a job well done. Now, in my book, that's a pretty important part of gardening. I do know that all my hard work last winter and spring paid off in great performance by my own gardens in spite of the dreadful weather conditions. My sunny gardens have never looked better. Of course, the poor shade gardens look terrible because I just could not keep them watered enough to make up for the hot and extremely dry conditions. Hopefully they will rebound next year.
We have had rain almost every evening for the past week. Last night we had an inch of rain. On top of that, our temperatures have moderated to the mid to high 80's F (somewhere in the range of 29 to 31 C), which has been sublime! |
