Hello to QuillGordon28 Jun '07 5:32 am
Liza called you Quill; I would have thought Gordon, but we do already have one Gordon. Maybe Liza's instinct is best. At any rate, your photographs are so lovely; as are your flowers and birdhouses. I am curious as to where you live. Are you willing to share that information with us?
The Gallardia in your picture with the birdhouse is so tall. I've never grown a variety that tall. I first thought it was coneflower, then the photo you posted in a later reply definitely appears to be coneflowers also in front of a similar birdhouse. Are these two different plants?
We would love to see more of your photographs. |

Yes, I live in Sandy, Utah about ten miles south of Salt Lake City... Those are two diff. plants as you described Coneflower (a Kim's Knee Highs, Magnus, White Swan mix) and Burgandy Gallardia...

Simply adorable Clematis!!3 Jul '07 9:42 am
This is simply an adorable Clematis, Quill --is she Niobe ?? Of course, the model expresses its beauty, through the finesse of your beautiful capture! A really perfect capture : sharpness, lighting, colour beauty and harmony! And your latest garden photo is equally very beautiful! |

Thanks for the answers.4 Jul '07 4:09 am
I thought you might be in the US because of the types of plants you grow. Your garden is so beautiful and so beautifully edged. Now, another question, what is the door with the star? That is so intriguiging. |

Thank you the Clematis is Warsaw Nike a profuse bloomer in the Spring... The star is on the backdoor of the garage, nothing more than a decoration like a wreath... I like the contrast between it and the white door...

Here's a pic of the front of my home here in suburbia, lit by moonlight... The next pic is of the stairs leading to the front door... The last one is of the bird house that sits under the front window, it has impatients planted underneath it...

Do any of you have any idea what this plant is (small daisy like), I looked it up once but have forgotten what it is??? My mother-in-law was the original owner of the home and is responsible for the planting...
