June garden busy!!!!!14 Jun '07 6:31 am
Hello, hello!!
Please, forgive my long absence!! Believe me, I have been SO garden -- friend-- family busy!! And it has been really wonderful, but passing from the computer, has been really seldom all these recent days, and only to check my incoming mails...
But taking some photos has been so very natural, as you all understand...
Today I have already been again VERY garden busy, since husband and friends have left --- for the moment... Some nice people will be visiting the garden this coming Saturday afternoon, though...
Have a look at some colourful recent garden moments...

I can see your garden is looking gorgeous from your beautiful pictures, Liza. So I know that your open day will be a huge success. I hope you have perfect weather! Most important - you must relax and enjoy all the compliments that are bound to come your way.
And of course, seeing your beautiful garden filled me with excitement...

Bravo! Bellisimo!14 Jun '07 10:29 am
Just when I'm sure your garden has reached a peak it cannot surpass .. it does it again! So many beautiful views. To sit at that dining table .. that would be sublime. Your garden -like us- is getting still more beautiful every year.
I had a real garden extremist over for a retirement dinner for a colleague last night. While we were all gushing about our affection for my retiring colleague, he went back outside to oggle the garden alone. He is an expatriot from England and gave me all sorts of tips for what gardens to see when we go next summer. It is such a treat to talk with someone who is as ga-ga over gardens as we are about our gardens. Liza, you are going to have such a nice day in the garden and you won't receive one compliment that is not well deserved! Savor the moment my good gardening buddy.

Such warmness!!!15 Jun '07 6:05 am
My precious beloved friends, Dixie, Jack, Mark, and Jacqueline!!
It is such a balm for my tired body and my friends-longing heart, to read what you just wrote here!! No, I just express the whole truth! I felt such a joy with your words, that I know are truly friendly and sincere!
THANK YOU!!
Well, the garden is a living entity in constant evolution and movement....I feel these last weeks I am a mother of..... 8 newborn babies to take care and feed!! If you think that the borders are more than 8 , big and in quite a distance between them, then you will understand what I mean...Things got more difficult this time, because the garden feeding and care coincided with lots of other joyful responsibilites... But what a relief, .....when all garden babies are fed, beautiful, healthy, and happy! No? Only us -- the mad forum gardeners-- can understand this...And what a relief, to see the bright faces and eyes of other people facing this garden!! What more important of sharing happiness?

Hi Liza, boy your garden is really looking beautiful! So much color and shapes. I know exactly how you are feeling when you say you are all wore out as I am feeling the seasonal pinch myself. Still so much more to do.
Your garden sure seem to be a magical place.

Good morning Liza.18 Jun '07 6:40 pm
Well it is 11:30 pm Sunday night here in California so I think it is about 8:30 a.m. Monday morning there. Hopefully you slept well and your dreaming brain has helped you to digest all the stimulation of Saturday. So after you've had your first cuppa, if no real person is there to compete for your attentions, could you please tell us your thoughts and feelings, all your impressions from Saturday. Did you meet some local garden extremists who were as blown away to discover you as you were them? Have you gotten invites to see their gardens? How was the weather? Are you (temporarily, of course) 'gardened out'? When you're ready I am curious to hear whatever you would like to share. So I"ll just head to bed and check in tomorrow morning to see if there is news.
