Chelsea Flower Show Update27 May '04 10:18 am
The Mooseys Country Garden UK Team visited The Chelsea Flower Show yesterday and spent FIVE hours taking photos and filming the show gardens and exhibits.
We didn't sit down once! The show was a feast of colour, sound and smell though the crowds were a bit manic. Old lady english gardeners know how to use their elbows to great effect
We concentrated on the show gardens and some of the exhibits. We stayed out of the main pavilion until we'd seen all of the show gardens.
(If you want to see flower displays and arrangements rather than show gardens then wait for our coverage of the Hampton Court Flower Show in early July. )
The weather was nice to start with - some dark clouds threatened to spoil the day but thankfully the day passed without any rain. We arrived home at 9pm with over 600 photos and 30 minutes of camcorder footage. We planned to interview some of the designers and staff but realised we were well out of our depth and needed press passes.
Mooseys Country Garden's first royal gardening interview will have to wait until next year!
Some of the photos are almost as stunning as the gardens themselves. The Chelsea Flower Show section will be up on the front page this weekend and we'll keep adding to it until we run out of photos, video footage and notes. |
