Oh Liza, what a veritable orgy of color. I can imagine you were speechless. I think the photos of the tulips are gorgeous of course, but my favorites might actually be those beautiful birds. I'm a little birdbrained these days if you haven't noticed.

What amazingly beautiful photos. Thank you for sharing them with us. They are just so colourful.
Some of the artwork is cheeky and I could see one or two pieces in my garden, with a bit of imagination.

Liza - the Queen of Colour!11 May '07 12:58 am
Me Oh My!
I have downloaded your Keukenhof photos and currently they are my screensaver, Liza. They are very time-consuming: I sit and stare at them in amazement for minutes at a time instead of getting on with the work hidden beneath them...
Once again your eye for colour and for composition and the brilliance of your camera and photographic technique are quite awe-inspiring.And I can just imagine your awestruck passage through Keukenhof, one moment standing staring with your mouth open in an unflattering way, the next rushing forward and falling down on your knees to take a photo
ONCE AGAIN: thank you so much for sharing your joy with us so completely!

Well, Liza, you have really outdone yourself with this set of pictures! What a magnificent collection! I just had to let my eyes wander around the screenful of thunbnail pictures in wonder at all the colours! And, while the wider-angled shots were excellent, I was taken by the close-ups that showed the details of the flowers, their textures and patterns; I also loved the pictures of the "collections" and the ones with the ducks and swans in them. The play of the light on the flowers and through the petals was amazing! I even liked the shots of rhododendrons, and they're not my favourite flowers (too "brash" for me! ).
I really can only echo everyone else's comments.
Bravo!!

Thank you all dearly!12 May '07 8:41 am
Dearly, because you really share my uplifting joy through these photos! It is such a special thing..Because I am happy for you! Yes Gordon, the colours were indeed magnificent!
Jack! I felt so funny and deeply touched, when I read your flattering comments..And so awkward... But I sometimes do the same with your amazing Autumn photos! I felt funny , when you described my state of being while taking those pictures... Because I was like that! Mouth open, feeling all alone among the crowds, entering prudently in the Tulip borders (it was forbitten), walking like a ballerina.. At a certain moment, being sitted but standing on my toes, taking a macro, I lost my balance and fell back , sitting on my ...bottom! I then realized I was not alone , but I had a happy lough! Fortunately, I was sitting on the lawn... It seemed that people around me shared my excitement while I was taking photos, with joy and humor.. So heart-warming!
Thank you all again, my good friends!
