The Keukenhof Tulip Park , the Pride of Holland!

On the 28 of April, last Saturday that is, I had the great luck to visit this magical place! It was an excursion organized by my "Cercle Horticole de Waterloo", my Garden Club in other way...

Keukenhof -- The Epilogue :

The Keukenhof Park is called by the Dutch people tenderly : " The most beautiful Spring garden in the world!! ". Please, believe me! They are absolutely right!

Entering in this blessed place , people like us-gardeners, are --litterally -- stunned !! Personally, I became speechless, and breathless --literally! The photos I presented you, pass only a slight idea of what I'm telling you..

I will copy for you now a short text about the Keukenhof initiative, from the brochure we were given at the entrance :

"A group of bulb growers and exporters first came up with the idea of presenting a spring flower exhibition at Keukenhof in 1949. It proved to be a magnificent showpiece for the bulb trade. Today approximately ninety Royal Warrant Holders ensure that the most beautiful bulb flowers are on display at Keukenhof every year.. In 2007 Keukenhof will be hosting the 58th exhibition."

Liza, these pictures are really beautiful! Thankyou for posting them - all of them - my goodness, such a variety of colours. It must have been a speechless trip!

It was ! And I was feeling lost, tiny, and silly , amidst so much colour, and Beauty! Feeling really joyfully excited, and taking pictures all the time, I was being left alone by my boys -- who were rather "running" ahead, all the time, me lost!

I hope all the people who see these pictures, known and unknown, feel a little bit of the utmost, blessed joy I felt in there...That is why I posted as many photos as possible , anyway! My target aim is sharing this blessed,...colourful Joy!
