I just discovered your notes and thought I'd offer up my "Welcome" as well! I fully understand your penchant for renaming your pets from time to time, depending upon circumstances! I know that my dog, Joey, is frequently called, "Little Rat" or "Joey Demento"! While I'm not really a cat person, I do like them, and yours is such a beautiful colour! And that "Hung Over" picture!! Gave me a chuckle, it did!
Nice to meet you and Joey - he looks like a sweetie. I'd love to see a close-up of his face - I get the impression he had a sort of wild-eyed impatience going on at the door there. My little mutt has a firm conviction that there must be somehing MUCH more interesting going on just on the other side of any given door...

Hummingbird
8 May '07 11:48 am Thanks for asking about the hummingbird. Yes, that is my hand holding the bird. He was a young Rufous who overwintered in my garden this year. A specialist from a bird society came to my house and caught him for banding because they are rare in my area. He took the picture. There is a thread about him in the Cats and Dogs in the Garden section.

Birds
9 May '07 4:09 am Your welcome Julia and to Dixie, yes they have grown. I need a better picture of them for my avatar, but I was just experimenting to see if photos shot with my new camera would make better avatars. I had a problem with losing resolution when I tried saving photos in that small format. I am pleased that the new camera seems to have a high enough pixel count that I can reduce the size that small and still have them relatively clear. Expect regular changes to my avatar now.

10 May '07 2:03 pm Nice to have you on board. I love your pet photos. And the names!
We're currently cat free, although I'm trying very... hard... to persuade hubby otherwise.
We do however have 3 dogs which admittedly keep us busy enough.
