Snow in spring.21 Mar '07 2:51 am
Oh my poor dear Liza. I only hope this was a benign snow with no hard freezes. The snow itself will not harm anything as long as you don't suffer temps too low for too long. I thought of you this weekend when I saw the international weather report. I also thought of all our friends in NZ when I saw reports of the mud slide there. I hope it did not affect any of them.

Fingers crossed the snow is only light and stays that way. I hope it melts soonest and your garden continues to burst forth this spring.

We had snow here too, Liza, although I was at work at the time and it had all melted by the time I got back home, but I imagine my garden probably looked fairly similar to yours (except smaller, with fewer and less-established plants! ). It's set to continue cold for the rest of the week I believe, then get warmer again so let's hope it stays that way!

An amazing series of photos ,with brave little plants .We don't have snow here ,just frosts ,so it is always interesting to see others sculptural displays ,if I can put it like that . I must take a photo in winter of our frosty gardens ..

Impressive snow there.
Yes, we don't get snow, but now and then we get hit with a 'black frost' that we weren't expecting and that can do some damage to the more tender plants.

My, Christopher!! These snow photos have not a Spring-time-look at all!..The weather got completely crazy! Remember the snow at Moossey's Garden in her last Spring?? And your photos themselves are so descriptive of the snow-situation.. I hope, by now your snow has melted , and your beloved Debb and yourself start realizing your Spring gardening planning..
The frost , dear Anna, it IS much more dangerous for the plants, indeed!
And , dear Bambi, as I replied to you in the Garden Tours post, our weather is one of the kind!... And , yes, we expect a really sunny weekend! Thank God!
