22 Feb '07 5:16 pm Did you ever think he does so as not to dirty his lovely breeches? Never noticed that the one male Border Collie we had, Toby, ever followed the Rusty way. But. When I had the great honor of having our second Great Pyrenees, Orion, in our lives, I noticed he squatted. Well, do not hardly think anything, four-footed or two, would mistake Orion as a sissy! I always laughed when I heard our neighbor up the hill dogs go into a high falsetto, had observed this once when walking with Orion, so I knew he must be passing their house! Anyway, after brushing him for three nights straight, his previous people hardly deserve the name, came to have an even greater appreciation about all of the fur a Pyr has! Fastidious, brave and noble to the nth degree, one could never accuse Orion of being anything less than a magnificent male.

26 Feb '07 7:37 am Hee hee. Dogs that squat should band together and form a brotherhood! THough I've noticed a recent trend - when we're out on the roadside Rusty's leg does get raised a few times! But when at home - never! That probably shows that Rusty has terribly high self-dog-esteem - he doesn't need to pysically mark anything in his own garden. Or is he totally bullied into subservience by the cats? Oops.

Poor Rusty
27 Feb '07 2:31 am Having his bathroom habits discussed in a Forum open to the world. I am sure he will establish his male dominion over all the other creatures of the Moosey kingdom in due time. After all, he has all those birds under control, what more do you want?

27 Feb '07 4:02 pm Rusty must be a high hound indeed...he has to live with cats...and take all that abuse. Then we muss him where he cant add his "woof" to the muddle. He would be mortified if pooches could read. Can you imagine our mates going on their fourm discussing our " calls of nature"?
