Some photos of my garden in Berkeley, California19 Feb '07 9:09 am
I can't seem to access all of my photos from I-Photo, but here are a few that are available to me. These all seem to be from this past fall, 2006.
Okay, apparently each photo I have is too large a file to include as an attachment. I guess I'll have to wait until my wife can teach how to reduce the resolution or whatever so that they can fit.

Welcome Mark20 Feb '07 4:49 am
I can't wait to see your photos. My daughter used to live in San Francisco, so I have visited Berkeley many times. There is a fantastic organic rose garden on the SF Berkeley campus. I'm sure you have probably visited it already.
Thanks for the tip Cajunangie. I'll try visiting photobucket to see if they can help me with the problem of making my Avatars without losing the resolution. |

photobucket is a nice site to remove all the pix off of your computer to. It can be a life saver if you ever ahem...crash...your precious pix and documents can be saved offcomputer..trust me it saved my cookies already! others can go and look at your slideshows on there as well. You can paste a link and use that and they can see the pix in their big size with out slowing their run thru the fourm. They can continue to do what the are doing and let the pix load up in the background.

I'm at Photobucket now and have uploaded 10 pix under the same name, "serialplantfetishist". Now I'll try to get them sent here.
Thanks so much, Mark |

I don't think it worked. How disappointing. Can you download the pictures back to your hard drive and save them in their smaller format? Then when you post to the Forum they can be pulled directly from your files. Also, I don't know what kind of camera you are using, but most digital cameras come with picture handling software. Some of it is pretty limited, but mine at least allows me to save my pictures in several different size formats. The one that comes closest to 640 X whatever is the one to use. I know how frustrating this can be because if you read my first posts, I had the same problem and had to learn how to reduce the size of my photos. |

I think, though I'm not sure, that you have to 'invite' folks to view on photobucket.
I assume this means they have to be on photobucket too???
You should be able to put individual photos that you've uploaded there on here (as long as they're not too big) by cut and pasting the IMG Code. Make sure you get the whole thing by scrolling across as you highlight.
Example:
[ IMG]http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b247/Dreves/IrishWeatherMachine.gif[/IMG ]
I've 'spaced' the '[' and ']' so that the picture won't load. and then when I put it in correctly you should get:
I hope that makes sense. |

Photos from your garden23 Feb '07 4:08 am
Hi Mark, I went to photobucket and registered, but got stuck on a page where they wanted to give me a "prize" in exchange for my personal information. Decided to just look up your page by typing in the url you listed and Voila! your pictures popped up. Your garden is beautiful and I hope Anna's tips above will help with your delimma. I would love to be able to see your pictures on the Forum pages rather than having to log onto another site. Keep plugging away and keep taking those lovely photos. |
