Liza does it again!7 Feb '07 11:04 pm
Dear Liza - trust you to beautifully capture the moment! I love your ice-cream cone rosebud and your snowcapped witch hazel and the sight of your garden in snow... How I would love to see my own in the snow - except it literally wouln't know what had hit it, and I fear would collapse in a messy heap like Moosey's Wattle Woods this last winter!

Beautiful! I'm so glad you got your snow in the end, my dear, special friend! And, as Jack says, you have captured it so artistically Is that one of your new Hamamelis babies in pic no. 4?
By the way, there may be more on its way - apparently we are getting some more tonight (2 inches in the South East, according to the news) so winter is not yet over after all!

Hip hip hooray for Liza!8 Feb '07 6:33 am
I wish I could have been there to see your excited face when you woke up to a snowy garden. I'll bet you were like a little child who couldn't wait to get dressed and outside to play.

Snow -again! - in the garden!8 Feb '07 11:12 pm
Well, Faith my love, you should have seen my face today!!. I was/I am, so happy! Bambi, were you a ....future teller? I mean about the new snow...Because last afternoon it had almost completely melted. And today, this morning, between 8-10 am, it did it again! I hear in the news, many motor ways are blocked..
Jack, do you know, that your replies a lot of times provoke a loud laughter out of me? Thank you so much for this! I really need it!...
Of course, as I have said somewhere else already, I just admire the white serenity... LOVE taking photos! Not playing in the garden... Just a stroll and back in... Maybe, it is beacause I have suffered a lot by some violent children games when I was a primary student at school, a very sensitive and emotional little girl...( Children can be so violent,...if they immitate violent adults....).
Anna, I have missed you! Where on earth have you been!

Snow again in the garden! (8).jpg
Just look at the table! How I love this fluffy, purely white snow! Black chocolate with....vanilla ice-cream, no??

Hugs for Liza9 Feb '07 4:10 am
Dear Liza, my heart broke a little when I read about you suffering abuse by other children when a child yourself. It is apparent to all of us what a tender soul you are, so I just wanted to send you a giant hug. Children can be very cruel I know; but you were the winner in this game because it did not turn you into a bitter person.
I loved your new snow pics!

Violent snow games...9 Feb '07 6:29 am
My sweet Faith! Now I know why you are my...Canary Bird Rose soul mate!..Look : I just meant violent snow games : snowballs with stones in them, snow on the face, on the head, on the neck, thrown in big quantities , with great force...This was mainly done by young boys, and I really wonder, if they really realized how harm they could make with all these...But the fact that I never really wished to participate in these games was making them even more agressive...
Today, my little Nicholas returned from school crying , because he had suffered a sort of ...snow brutality himself...
Sending back your hugs...

My dear Liza, I too felt terribly sad when I read about the horrible snow "games" you suffered as a child, and your poor little Nicolas too . When I was young and being subjected to similar tortures, my mother always told me not to let them know they were getting to me and they would soon give up because they didn't get a reaction which is what they were after.
Because of this, I do tend to hide my true feelings and find it hard to express them even when I want to! It's strange how we all deal with these things in different ways, isn't it?
I don't think children really know what damage they are doing when they bully. They know they are not being nice, but at that age, I really don't believe that they understand the true and long-lasting harm caused.
On a happier note, I loved your pictures, once again, and am happy that you got a bit more snow to enjoy. We also had quite a bit of snow and I will post some pics later on today.
