Albertine - I like the way the buds are dark bronze pink ,and open to paler pink .Also healthy and vigorous -grows in full sun or shade .

This is looking the other way along the track.
I scrubbed and painted the fence rails this year .You can catch a glimpse of the unloved red hot pokers under the distant tree .

Nosy Cows29 Dec '06 5:36 pm
I love the pic of the nosy cattle. Aren't they funny? They just have to see what you're doing. They are just simply curious, and like to share space with other living things I guess. Cheers!
Whenever I hear the expression 'nosy cow' I giggle. It's so right!

agapanthus30 Dec '06 11:28 am
I had to have another look ,Pumpkin .The dwarf agapanthus are around knee height ,actually .They are easy to dig out and shift around .I have the tall agapanthus beside the fence ,in front of my lovely 'Alberic Barbier ,which is out of sight in the photo.
This photo is taken from the paddock looking into part of my front garden ,through the tall agapanthus. Unfortunately ,the Albertine roses on the distant fence rails are somewhat shaded ,and don't show up ,though a glimpse of 'Uetersen' can be seen under the gingko

A close up of the previous photo .Uetersen on the left ,under the Gingko. It doesn't mind shade .The white is 'Feverfew '-a herb with double white flowers ,and a strong smell .I think it has another name as well ?Albertine is right along the wooden fence -it looks very pale because of the light and shade contrasts.
