12 Apr '04 10:20 pm I was cutting the front lawn with the weedeater today (yes it got away again) and discovered a double pink japanese anenome. It must be one of my church fair purchases. I do hope it decides to be aggressive. It is truly lovely.

13 Apr '04 5:36 pm The flower is a bit scruffy, and the plant is small so the flowers are flopping. This flower is twice as wide as my ordinary white anenomes.

14 Apr '04 8:22 am Hi there Olwen. I have 2 anenomes(japanese)-the single white and a single pink that is quite a bit brighter than your pic.
Have you an area that you want invaded by anenomes
They are not a plant for a small garden as they tend to get away a bit(understatement!!)
Lovely flowers though.
I have tried them in a pot but it got rootbound very quickly so the plants did no thrive at all well.

Invasive plants
14 Apr '04 10:41 am I have 1/2 an acre, I LOVE invasive plants and the white is doing very well in that regard. I have a single pink that is still quite small as well, but it's a similar colour to this one.

16 Apr '04 6:23 am That is a really pretty flower....even tho it's 'scruffy' Wonder if the double pink will prove as prolific as the white if you dig it out of the weed eater range
