I think we're all pretty much in agreement here. Designer gardens don't appeal to me at all. There's no 'soul' in them and I won't have a bar of them.

It says about the owner, "I'm not really a gardener, I'm just showing you how much money I have to throw around", whereas the other gardens with the frothy, spilling over flowers and the rambling gardens with colour say, "I'm happy in my garden and I hope you enjoy looking at it as much as I do. Feel welcome here."
