Thanks a lot, dear Bambi for your sweet words of encouragement! As I said earlier in this thread, lots of credit goes to my loving spouse who happily does the major tasks of watering and fertilizing very regimentally. That’s his nature and strength, thus bodes well for our babies and me, too! Seriously, we’re both retirees and therefore have all the time to tend to our plants and give them our best care and attention. Sometimes, we’ll joke between us that we seem to give them more attention and t-l-c than we give each other, and the numerous times we’re seen in the garden each day would give that impression to any passers-by or flat-dwellers across the road!
I’m looking forward to your spring surprises too and I know you’re working at it in spite of your wifely duties and other chores with your lovely snakes and cats, as well as your job taking most of your time! I know it’s tough when there’s so much to do and so little time, but you’ll persevere and succeed as it’s a phase in life.

A few more recent flower images!10 Nov '06 7:52 pm
These lovely orchids were taken on the last day of October and the dahlias less than a week ago! Orchids are a must for us as they add colour and beauty to our garden the whole year round and their flowers are so long lasting! Also, very easily maintained with lots of water and fertilizing! Our dahlias on the other hand, is quite discouraging as they're so susceptible to pests, thus producing sickly-looking foliage, though their blooms are unscathed! These are new blooms on new plants that miraculously survived an ordeal of white flies attack nearly 2 months ago! Lovely, like a new rebirth, I'd say!
Enjoy!

Pure enchantment!!10 Nov '06 8:17 pm
My God, Jacqueline! What a blessing! Simply Divine! ALL are stunning, magnificent! You made my day !! All these gorgeous creations will follow and encourage me today in my hard gardening work, until 5pm, when Nicholas arrives from school! Early this morning we had the first 0/ -1 Celsius frost! I have this feeling , that today I'll be dressed in my Eskimo style of gardener... But your flowers will tenderly warm my heart, spirit , and body! Thank you, dearest!

Beautiful!11 Nov '06 7:52 am
I am so captured by your orchids. They are some of the most beautiful flowers I've seen. You are so lucky to have them. conditions here make it very difficult to grow orchids. Alas, it's a rich mans sport here.

Thanks a lot, all my dear friends for your lovely comments. It’s my pleasure really to share them and it delights me so hearing that they warm your hearts too! I’d love to share more colours if I could, especially for my ‘winter’ friends, but sadly just don’t have many more flowers as my garden size limits me!
